This is an exciting component of our Travel Study program, which involves both the lower and middle school students for one week in March. Lower and middle school faculty will offer opportunities/trips for students that will be challenging, inspirational and educational. Students will be allowed to sign up for one experience by choice.
This year the trips are: (featuring photos of these trips from previous years!)
Guadalajara, Mexico with Sally—a return to a longstanding THS trip, highlighted by time spent at the Casa Hogar Nacidos para Triunfar Children's Shelter, along with other experiences in this large and vibrant Mexican city. (7th & 8th Grades only)

Culinary Pursuits with Lauretta—A week of exploring culinary arts under the guidance of professionals in the field. Students try their hand at making sauces, pastry, pasta, pizza, ethnic dishes and more. This is a week of hands-on culinary activities, with a meal or two out on the town.

Snowsports Adventures with Leslie—a five day trip to include downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and snowball fights!

Arts in the PNW with James—Local day trips for pottery classes at Pottery Northwest, glassblowing, museum and gallery tours, drawing and painting.

Horseback Riding on Orcas Island with Gayle—a beloved THS destination, Turtlehead Farm was the site of the Orientation Trip for more than a decade. Thanks to the generosity of the Helsell family, another generation of THS students can enjoy the wood shop, the barn swing, and Turtlehead Mountain!
